Since E-Trade Japan is now offering electronic trading of US issues
in real time (providing one wants to stay up all bloody night), I'm
setting up a US database per
http://www.amibroker.com/docs/ab305.html.
But on running the download, I notice somewhere in the neighborhood
of 8 to 10 percent of the issues come back with "no data for this
symbol" in the status line.
Is this simply a function of Yahoo having bad service, or is this
simply that the template is that old, and there have been than many
symbol changes over time? It seems like a very high percentage of
bad returns. Maybe it's a combination of the two?
