I am just beginning a thread on the topic of a chat room for the group. I
don't know how many of you are on Irc or have been on Irc but it is
Internet Relay Chat and there are several chat networks. I help run one of
the largest, (it may be the largest now, I don't keep track), which is
Undernet. For those who don't know, to use Irc, one has to have a chat
program and the most popular of these is mIRC which runs on all windows
versions. (Not positive about NT but I believe it's ok too).
If we set up a chat room, we could type back and forth live and exchange
ideas in real time. For those who are full time traders, this might be an
excellent way to get new ideas as things happen. (Or for those who can be
on the internet at work and want to keep an eye on things).
I'm about to leave my Florida home for my place in Tennessee so I won't be
able to organize this for a little bit but if there is sufficient interest,
I'll put out some more details on where to get the mIRC chat program free,
how to set it up and how to get to the undernet and then to our channel we
would establish there. We would be able to block anyone we don't want in
the channel or to remove anyone who is being crude, rude or whatever. Just
an idea to extend our sharing of ideas.
