Chas,
FWIW, Gartman went long gold in the early am hours in the low 880's this morning.  He had commented the day before about the 860 level holding repeatly.
 
He is also long the Canadian$ (energy related and grains) and the Euro (added a few days back on both).  Neither of these would bode well for a strong USD?

Wow, passionate work here. I see your projection (down to
circa 700) is also a lot lower.
