Re: [RT] WHY...Trading Profession?

FWIW, I've kicked around the trading business for 15 years, the last 5 years
full time trading futures. With the exception of a six month period trading
OEX options full time in the late 80's (I blew out the account buying
premium), I spent most of 10 years building and testing systems which never
seemed to hold up in thorough testing. It was when I moved from systems
trading to discretionary trading and from study of indicators to study of
price and market behavior that I began to make the headway which allowed me
to begin trading full time. If there is one book which I wish I had found
when I started, it is Robert Miner's Dynamic Trading - costs $100 (with one
year money back guarantee) at www.dynamictraders.com - which sets forth very
practical techniques for discretionary trading. All authors will try to sell
you their custom trading software - not needed for trading.
