RT: Why so much tension, each and every week?

Forum members, last week Bill Eykyn took a shellacking. I still don't
know what that attack was all about. This week it's Ira's turn in the
barrel. Both of these men are successful in their own right. They are
simply exchanging thoughts with us. Can't that be enough? For those
quick to reply "no," I ask you ... "why not?" We are lucky to get
through a day without someone declaring war on someone else. I don't
get it, really I don't. I am not referring to any one person or
incident. If someone gets offended by this post, then they are
personalizing it, which is beyond my control. Here's a thought I offer
for consideration. The American 4th of July holiday is upon us. The
holiday is suppose to represent freedom and independence. We should all
be free enough to express our thoughts, and independent enough to find
comfort in our own counsel. Maybe for the month of July, we could allow
each other to exchange ideas, While Adhering To Forum Protocol, without
being "nuked" by an opposing opinion ... No Matter How Right Your
Opinion Is. If you own the "Truth," then good for you. If you know the
"way of things", Outstanding ... but let the other guy have his say. We
are all at different levels. This is what I'm asking, "Can we put the
nastiness away, just for a trial period?" We can always return to
throwing sticks and stones if it does not work out. Please consider
it. Have a nice holiday experience, and for those of you who live
abroad ... Enjoy Your Week -James
