sounds like a ts problem too...displaying many small scale tick charts and
quote monitors will slow ts down to a crawl in fast markets...you may need
to beef up your system or cut loose the ticks charts during fast markets...
i second mark's reco about moving...i'm ditching the rural nonsense and
getting back to town and ample cheap bandwidth...life's too short to be
frustrated by small town/rural telco politics...

The StarBand satellite internet connection has the latency issue. With an
average latency over 1-second and often exceeding 3 seconds, the tick
based bars will often stop updating for 5 seconds or more, especially in a
fast market. Starband sat is unsuitable for streaming data, a fact
Starband makes a point of for those thinking about signing up.
