I just experimented with this hotfix install. I hadn't visited the MS 2000
web site in quite a while. soI first decided to install the SP2 upgrade.
That was my first mistake. As it turns out the hotfix predates this upgrade
and won't install afterqwards. So, I uninstalled it. Simple enough with the
Add/Remove programs. Installintg the hotfix then had no effect in my system.
My speed is slower to write to the hard drives with this system which does
have the ATA 100 hardware. My oder computer is twice as fast. Specifically,
the write speed to my C drive is 5000kb/sec
Any ideas? Let me know. I'm sure I'll get by as is. I do appreciate that
benchmark program. It works pretty good.
