Look at an Acer 340T TravelMate. I have one that has a Pentium III 500, 64
MB of main memory, a 6.0 GB hard drive, built in 56 K modem, an external
CDROM and floppy drive unit, and a built in 10/100 Ethernet connection. It
is thin and light and I'm quite pleased with the display and reliability. I
run TradeStation 2000i and collect real-time futures data from eSignal with
no problem, and it seems to run faster than my desktop system. I think I
paid about $1,800 for it last year directly from Acer.com

Right now I have it with me while visiting relatives in Minnesota. It is
great to be connected.
