NT is much more security conscious than Win95/98. There is a User Manager 
(under administrative tools). This is where you set up users who may log 
on. If you have a small trusted LAN, you can give 'Everyone' access with a 
blank password. Make sure you check that the password doesn't need to be 
changed. Then, you also need to specify sharing for the particular NT 
resource. Note that sharing can be done at the directory level and the type 
of access needs to be specified.

I have a LAN with one NT machine and three 95/98 machines here. Because 
it's now always connected to the Internet thru a DSL router, I'm using the 
firewall capabilities in the router but also have the disks locked down, 
with specified open Share directories. Also, network printers are shared.
