I run 15 web servers with both NT and UNIX/Linux and they are both very good platforms.
NT's strong points in my opinion

-easy to set up
-easy to get tech support
-fast cgi
-easy to get software
UNIX strong points
//////////////////////////
-serves raw html very fast
-can be free
-extremely stable
If I could only pick one, I would have to give the slight edge to NT
