Good Morning,

Thank you for your answer and your help.

I read and re-read the page 72 and the page 80 of the manual, but I don't clearly find
the limitation you indicates in your Email. Instead the text is ( page 80 ) :

"In order for ...or excel source file to convert proprely, the spreadsheet must be
arranged correctly. This section explains the proper arrangement.....

    - The data must be in columns
    - Each column must have a heading that describes what data is in the column. The
only required column are DATE and CLOSE. Optional columns are TICKER, PER, OPEN, HIGH,
LOW, VOLUME, and O/I. The column names must be spelled as shown here. The column
headings must all be on the same row.
    - The date must be in the mm/dd/yy style and must be formatted as text labels.
    - The data must be in ascending order ( date increase as you move down the
spreadsheet ).

Metastock cannot directly convert Excel 5.0 files. ...."

The only phrase which eventually referts to a limitation is the " the data must be in
ascending order ", but as it's possible to put an optional column with the heading
TICKER, you could have several stock!!! This is not clear for me.

After I received your Email, I tried to load a only single day four stock excel file
into a metastock file, and I again don't succeed. I obtained the same result that I
obtained with multiple-day four stocks.

So it seems that an excel file works only with a single stock in the 6.52 metastock
version, and therefore you couldn't use the excel file to load the daily historical
data into the metastock files.

Have you succeed to load the daily data from an excel file into metastock files ? If
yes, how do you manage that ?

Thank you very much for your help.

 Best Regards.
