Sounds to me more like this upgrade was to accommodate *you*, not
Microsoft.  No one forced you to upgrade.

And *my* personal opinion is that Tom Smith should not be allowed to
express opinions like this one.  The U.S. Government should pass a law
making it illegal for Tom Smith to upgrade his computer and illegal
for him to bitch about it.  That makes about as much sense as *his*
opinion.

Go buy a Mac.  Go buy OS2.  Put your money where your mouth is! 
(Instead of trying to make everyone else pay *for* you.)

And quit whining.
