I upgraded from win 3.11 with no problems. I recently upgraded to Win
98, again with no problems. After upgrading to Win 98 I converted my
drives and partitions to FAT 32, again without a single problem.
Everything works well and the change to FAT 32 freed up a great deal of
space on my primary hard drive. My C partition, for instance, went from
49 megs free to 449 megs free and available. That alone was worth the
upgrade !!!
If you don't like Microsoft, there's nothing stopping you from changing
to another OS. Microsoft isn't forcing you to use their OS nor is it
forcing you to use Internet Explorer. I don't particularly like IE
myself so I use Navigator instead.
So save yourself a lot of aggravation and expensive phone calls to tech
support, let alone the time spent writing complaining emails, and
change the OS !!!
