Anthony, the larger Htmlview.exe of Rx is left installed
even after uninstalling Rx. And then the problems begin:
AB's Report function no longer functions.

Ken,
My previous post with the attachment....was
because I felt that UM made a good point about the file being possibly
corrupted.....in no way do I agree with RX extractor being the problem...I too
use it....and have no conflicts when pulling reports.....

And here we have UM providing “customer support” for
something that heknows nothing about. Yikes. The previous
messages never mention that the user tried to or didinstall the Rx
(Report Extractor) program. So it is hard to understandwhy this
piece of “advice” is offered.Still, consistent with the idea that UM
can speak for everybody, andstill be wrong, once again he speaks harshly
and derogatorily aboutothers.I use Rx. I understand why
the file replaces the standard HTMLVIEW.EXE.I understand why it is
350KB. It does so many different things to savethe user time in
recording multiple test reports, that is why it islarger. Plus, it
flashes a message if it has been installed and theuser is attempting to
extract Results in the standard manner.Ken-----Original

backtesting report to functionHi,if you have installed the "Rx
Backtest Report Analyzer"then the error happens, because that programs
replacesthe HTMLVIEW.EXE of AmiBroker with its own huge versionof
size about 350 KB whereas the original is only 19 KB,Nobody knows why
this file replacement is done and whatits purpose is except the maker of
that other program. So, replace the HTMLVIEW.EXE with the
original oneof AB and things should work again. I've had
the same experience once, and have informedboth the author and TJ on
this. I've removed the
program. Uenal ----- Original Message -----

[amibroker] Can't get backtesting report to function
When I request a report of a backtested system a window appear
advising I am not connected to the internet (which I am). Is
this a web based report? Can anyone advise how to get it to
work? Your assistance for this newbie is much
appreciated.
