Hi Ira,
So I'm guessing that, that one indicator that you watch is momentum. I
wonder if anyone has ever developed a momentum indicator that truely
tries to measure Intertia. My reading somewhere said that the momentum
indicator does not measure momentum because it does not measure Inertia.
Maybe it is imposible to measure inertia in the markets. Maybe some of
the math/physics folks can enlighten us about that.
Some might say that we'd be better off without stochastic, OBV, and even
fib ratios. Some people wont use an electric saw because electric saws
are the quick and dirty approach to carpentry. Clyde informed me that
some of the biggest and best regarded CTA's use the wildly radical idea
that you can trade using only simple Moving Averages. He used to work
for or with some of those people years ago.
We all have got to to our way in the end. However, my way is best:)
Prosper
