Realtraders,<br>
<br>
<div align="center">
This question is to those RTer's who are users of DBC's Signal for
cable broadcast.<br>
<br>
</div>
Has anyone else been experiencing erratic price quotes in all
fields (primarily the bid and ask) during the first few minutes of
trading. For example, Nokia (NOK, $191) this morning (and
yesterday) tripped both is low bid and ask with a quote for those
specific fields well below $140 at 9:36am. Now obviously NOK did
not have an indication of a bid and ask posted that was more than 50
points away from the market. Only to have it return to a proper
spread within a few seconds. This erratic reporting is causing
havoc in monitoring legitimate alerts during the early market hours
(usually from 9:30 - 9:40am est).<br>
<br>
I called DBC tech support yesterday and they were not aware of
this problem and suggested that it may be a broadcast problem on my end
possibly as a result of the cable channel that I am tuned to, thus
suggesting I change to another channel (I did...switching from CNBC to
C-SPAN...to no avail). Well, if you ask me, if it is a broadcast
problem, isn't that THEIR problem. <br>
<br>
Anyhow, DBC did indicate that they are experiencing problems
immediately after the market closes with quotes that are being displayed
due to extended hours trading and said they are working on correcting
that issue but as I said, they are unaware of the early morning erratic
bid/ask quote situation.<br>
<br>
Am I the only one experiencing this problem? <br>
<br>
Please let me know,<br>
Thanks,<br>

Jim,
Jim those are all very good questions you ask. Once you sign up, you can
download the S&P Prospectus for the fund. I think that would probably be
the most complete answer to your questions.
https://www.x.com/new_account.asp?Referrer=senfl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As far as their servers being too busy, yes, that is scary ! Just like any
online trading concern. Perhaps the best solution is to just start the
account with the money they give you and test it and see how it goes before
adding your own.
As I mentioned on my first post, they are paying a $10 referral fee until
Friday, they also put $20 in your account until Friday.
Finally, it took me 51 minutes to get through a few days ago to straighten
out something on my account. They said they were getting more support
people.
Where does the $20 come from ? Well, in any start up there are costs of
procurring customers. In fact, I am sure most businesses could tell you
their costs of marketing, etc. to get a new customer. It is probably very
cheap for them to pay someone $20 and hope they will stay once they see what
they have to offer.

Yes, I guess you could take it and run, but I like everything about this
bank. I will use it to cash trade
S&P's at no fee. I will also use it to send money to my friends here on the
realtraders list."

JP Reply: Gee that's great Sen. I looked at their site, and could not
find
the following information,..could you help me?
1. What is the ticker symbol for their S&P500 Index fund? ( I want to see a
chart)
2. What was the % Total Return for their S&P500 Index fund in 1999?
3. How many Dollars in Millions are in the fund (total assets).
4. What was the actual expense ratio for the fund in 1999.
5. Where does the $20 they "give you" come from?...the S&P500 index fund
pot?, ......or the tooth fairy?
6. What benefit do you as a reference get (if any) for referring others to
the program?
Also, I was wondering how you could "cash trade" S&P's at no cost if their
servers cannot handle the volume of inquiries? I would be afraid I could
not
get through to place a trade. Do this fund have a 1-800 number that is
backed
up by shareholder service reps,...is it hard to get through there also?
Thanks,...Jim Pilliod jpilleafe@xxxxxxx
