Followup = I have been with DBC Signal for nearly 10 years and
overall I have been satisfied, as long you don't need to contact
their tech support group.

As for this mornings earlier post regarding erratic quotes, Nokia
was not the only stock. Considering I am tracking nearly 1000
issues and have alerts set on 99% of them, I have been getting this
problem on approximately 30-50 stocks per day for the last few
weeks.

Again, if you are having this problem, please let me know so that
I can contact the inept technical support staff at DBC and inform them of
this 'bigger' problem.

Thanks again,
I've heard nothing recently to indicate that I made a mistake getting rid
of DBC/BMI a little over a year ago. DTN isn't trouble free, of
course, but I'm getting the sense that problems like these pretty much go
with the territory.
At least the tech support people answer the phone at DTN.
Realtraders,

This question is to those RTer's who are users of DBC's Signal for cable broadcast.

Has anyone else been experiencing erratic price quotes in all fields (primarily the bid and ask) during the first few minutes of trading. For example, Nokia (NOK, $191) this morning (and yesterday) tripped both is low bid and ask with a quote for those specific fields well below $140 at 9:36am. Now obviously NOK did not have an indication of a bid and ask posted that was more than 50 points away from the market. Only to have it return to a proper spread within a few seconds. This erratic reporting is causing havoc in monitoring legitimate alerts during the early market hours (usually from 9:30 - 9:40am est).

I called DBC tech support yesterday and they were not aware of this problem and suggested that it may be a broadcast problem on my end possibly as a result of the cable channel that I am tuned to, thus suggesting I change to another channel (I did...switching from CNBC to C-SPAN...to no avail). Well, if you ask me, if it is a broadcast problem, isn't that THEIR problem.

Anyhow, DBC did indicate that they are experiencing problems immediately after the market closes with quotes that are being displayed due to extended hours trading and said they are working on correcting that issue but as I said, they are unaware of the early morning erratic bid/ask quote situation.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Please let me know,
Thanks,
