I don't know about mainstream internet quotes, beyond what I read here.
Have frequently wanted to try some of them, but currently have no need.
>From what everyone says, quote.com and its derivatives is the best out
there, but for my [option] quotes and needs, everything seems to fall a
little short. I would have trouble using e-signal just based on my history
with the company, even though that would be the easy route, given my
preference and experience with Ensign software.
I've thought at some length about building something that I could access on
my office server, from a distant client (like over the net). Ideally, I
would like to have software on the client that let me do both quote scanning
as well as look at charts, hopefully more than one on a screen. The bigger
problem (beyond technological considerations) is the restriction placed on
my use of the quotes by the quote vendors... DBC especially has this anal
restriction on the quotes, that they can ONLY be used on one computer. At
least DBC is more flexible ("unless a network contract has been accepted by
DTN.").
My easy solution would be to use a dial-up connection and access it with one
of the remote system emulators... names escape me at the moment, but they
let you access your remote system via dial-up just as if you're sitting at
your desk (only S-L-O-W-E-R!)
Hope this helps... if anyone hears of any alternatives here, keep me posted.
