Thanks Steve.  Before I loaded TS2000i I turned off the accursed
Norton antivirus and the WinXP firewall.  I have even uninstalled
Norton antivirus.

I have XP Home on the laptop.  Please see my answer to Jimmy for my
current partial solution.
