On the contrary, I love hearing it .... like a familar old song.
Leaving this remote 2000 acre Ranch a mile from the Pacific Ocean is not
appealing to solve the prob, tho.
However, a new family biz will ultimately take us to Oregon where the
solid broadband pipes may shortcircuit the issue completely.
StarBand's latency prevents it being a solution.
Luckily, the few trades missed don't seriously effect the monthly
results. But, the quest for perfection continues.

Subject: TWS forgets
Folks, here's the mystery:
Several times weekly and perhaps only when a telephone-ISP disconnect
occurs TWS will forget to restart getting data for one or more contracts.
Today, for example, the telephone connection to the ISP was interrupted
for two minutes prior to the regular open. Upon restoring of the
connection TWS was automatically restarted (by the TWSStart utility)and
logged on to IB. However, only the ER2 contract data flow was restored.
The YM row in TWS contained no data to the right of the contract
Description.
When I saw this I restarted TWS and the YM and ER2 data flow was restored.
This appears to be a problem unchanged by switching to the latest
version of TWS and Java 1.5.
Ideas warmly welcomed.
