No sure if the problem is related to dial-up connection.. maybe all you
can get is a dial-up. Besides that.. I use IBController v2.2
(groups.yahoo.com - twsapi group - look under files). I use this to
automanage 2 IB accounts. Using Cable ISP btw. TWS's start sunday night,
dies friday night - never a problem. Fully automanaged. Oh - using
latest TWS, Java 1.5 - no problems. I have used the above setup both
under a linux box & a w2k box - very stable & reliable under both.

Today, for example, the telephone connection to the ISP was
interrupted for two minutes prior to the regular open. Upon restoring
of the connection TWS was automatically restarted (by the TWSStart
utility)and logged on to IB. However, only the ER2 contract data flow
was restored. The YM row in TWS contained no data to the right of the

When I saw this I restarted TWS and the YM and ER2 data flow was
restored.
This appears to be a problem unchanged by switching to the latest
version of TWS and Java 1.5.
