No, we can both be correct. I didn't say "most" large traders --
just some successful large traders have approached me for coding
help, and they used TS2000i. There may well be other large traders
that use the latest TS version, and they probably don't need any
help coding. One large trader wouldn't use TS8 because he has no
interest in their brokerage. His own brokerage gives him better
access and faster fills and lower commissions, so TS2000i suits him
fine.

For what it's worth, the first large trader (can you believe 100
lots on the big S&P) who approached me used TS4. I convinced him
to switch to TS2000i and he realized, once he tried it that, he
would never go back. Part of the problem was that code written for
TS2000i isn't always backward compatible to TS4.

Well, I don't know about your existing database, but TS2ki works
with eSignal. The advantages to upgrading from TS4 would be more
flexibility in the programming language, which is somewhat expanded,
and also easier usage of other people's code. There is more
backward compatibility between TS8 and TS2ki than there is between
TS2ki and TS4.

You might try it on a second computer to see what you think.
