I've had other reports of truncated digests, by users of the Pine MUA
on Linux, as well as The Bat! which started this thread. In all cases
I know of, the culprit seems to be a long series of dashes within a
digest article, which these mailers confuse with the digest's MIME
boundary.
I've written a bug report to the Pine developers, and I've been advised
that at least one list member has done so to The Bat! folks, so we'll
see if they respond to those reports.
In the meantime, I've added a filter to the digest that will escape
lines of dashes that are long enough to trigger this bug. Hopefully
this will prevent this particular bug from truncating this list's
digests. Obviously, if anyone sees the problem in the future, let
me know asap.
