Perhaps. One of the old conventions in email is to precede the
signature with a line that has two dashes followed by a space. It is
used to prevent replies from including the signature, and thus
increasing the size of the message unnecessarily. TheBat observes this
convention, as does other email software. It might be good to check if
the SmartList software does this as well (although I doubt it). Dunno
if this is it, but just an idea...
