I think not because the code downloaded/installed is exactly the same.
But liveupdate is the best option imo unless you can guarantee you never forget manual updates.

Norton is not bad imo. But thats about it.
Long ago it was a good compagny but now its just on the bloatware path.
It takes far to much resources for what it does imo.
A year back I got infected with some worm. Norton only found half of them on my HD
and couldnt clean them out.
Other main programs like Kaspersky and Sophos had no problems with it at all.
Currently I'm using www.nod32.com
And afaik very up to date.
Last week 3 'hacker worm' where released and nod32 got updated for all of them.
Is much smaller and faster then all of its competion.
Really worth a look imo

They even made parts of windows (like defrag) so I don't think they get kicked out.
Besides MS itself shouldn't even have that licence :-)
