If your KVM switch is a non-self-powered version, that could be your problem.
I found that KVM switches that did not require a power source of their own 
were problematic.  I switched to Belkin Omni-Cube self-powered KVMs and 
have not had any problems with several that I am currently running --

I don't know if this is an OpSys Prob where it generates a keyboard error
during a switch or a defect in the KVM switch.  It's one of those once a
week intermittent errors that are a real PitA to track down.
Anybody had the same prob and can save me some grief tracking this down.
