anti virus interering with TS?

Do most of you TS 2000i traders keep your anti virus
program running with the auto scan active while you
are trading and collecting data? 

I was told by a friend a long time ago that it is best
to keep the anti virus turned off, because it may
delay the data coming in. But I wasn't so sure about
this, so I thought I would ask your opinion.

By the way, I am using an anti virus program called
Fix It Utilities 4.0 by Ontrack (or now they are
called V-com, I believe).
