BINGO ! Corporations have cut back so far, they are running with less than a
skeleton crew.
This just in from a press report:
"....The worm attacks servers using SQL software that has a particular
flaw,
for which Microsoft has provided a fix since July 24, 2002. Once a server is
infected, it starts probing the Internet for other vulnerable servers within
just a few seconds. Gullotto predicted that all vulnerable servers
connected to the Internet could become infected within 24 to 48 hours.
Servers that have been either patched or fitted with SQL service pack 3,
which rolls up multiple product fixes and was released by Microsoft on Jan.
17, aren't vulnerable to the worm.."

Let's see....July 24th, wasn't that 6 MONTHS ago ?
Wow, IMHO, the "cheapies" deserve to get "hit".
