Don, you are right; and looking forward, I believe we are fortunate that the
outcome of the last election has provided us with government leadership
better able to take the necessary action than the buffoons of the
Clinton/Albright/Cohn administration.  We will soon see if W will rise to
the demands of the occasion and has what it takes to resolve, truly reslove,
the global threat of widespread terrorism.  Even before the collapse of the
first tower, I concluded that only a world-wide war on terrorism was
necessary and would take no less than 3 years to complete.

If the next tragic event occurs soon, martial law may even be imposed as a
prelude to the likely shift to a new form of war-based economy and society
until all known terrorist organizations are eliminated militarily rather
than judicially.

I fear the magnitude of this struggle will be larger rather than smaller
than we can now envision.  The superficiality of some people's reaction to
this event continues to concern me, but with great leadership we should
eventually prevail.
