Winbeep is a utility which allows messages to be sent to a pager. This
is not needed for email messages to cell phones (or any other email
address). No ELA code is needed either.
I'm running TSPro(I used to run TS2000i and sent email from it) so the
following will be slightly off for TS2000i: First set up the email
receipient in the TS preferrences messaging section. There is a very
usefull Test button there.
For strategies no extra code is needed, you just need to allow buy/sell
alerts to be sent to the messsaging centre(I think). Then format the
window of the graph in which the strategy is inserted: enable
messaging. Thats it. You could test it with a simple strategy like: if
LastBarOnChart then buy at market;
For trend line alerts you need to Format the trend line Properties and
enable messaging (don't forget the same for the graph window).
One step further, whenever I got an email alert I used to think, I wish
I could see the graph (trend line trading), so now I dump the screen of
the pc running TS to my web site at 1 minute intervals. There are many
shareware utilities available which can do this, I use Snagit.
