I'm a big ZA fan. I did have a problem when I changed from a modem to
cable. ZA wasn't stealthing me any more. Uninstalling, reinstalling,
cleaning the registry, upgrading to the latest version, etc., didn't
help. I finally found the undocumented fix on a newsgroup. ZA stores a
bunch of stuff that can get messed up in c:\WINNT\Internet Logs\. So the
answer is to uninstall, delete that folder and reinstall. I've since
added a cable modem router with a built-in firewall but I still run ZA
to keep apps from dialing out. It's amazing how many commercial apps
want to open up a port and act as a server if you let them. I always
just say no when ZA asks if I want to allow application x to act act as
a server.
