TR: Tradestation drop

Hello,

I don't know for the RT version, but the EOD version have some bugs.

I don't know what kind of indicators you programm, but if you need to make some advanced calculations, the programm will be quickly limited. You need some good skills in Delphi, VBA or C.to programm your own indicators through the Devloper Kit if the MS language cannot do it.

You can't write loops and all indicators length have to be a constant. (in MS language of course). Soon as you use the function PREV in MS (Value[1] in TS if I'm not wrong) the calculation time is dramatically increased. For instance we wrote a RSI with a kind of exponential smoothing, a friend had the time to take a cup of tea until the indicator appears (just with 500 bars)on a chart. (His computer is a bit old too).

I didn't use the customer support a lot, but the 2-3 time I wrote to get my upgrade, they answered quickly.

If you have any question about the programm, let me know.
Raf

PS : If you are a system trader, I wouldn't recommend it. Just my view

It is a shame of course. I am more and more considering a switch to Equis
Metastock Pro RT. This company is seen as respecting its customers much more
than Omega.
Any opinion ??
Carl

You're just witnessing a bunch of ripped-off and PO'd Omega Research users.

We can't get bug fixes to the $4,000 software we paid for and now we
understand the company is dropping support for it...only a year after it's
introduction !
