Well, I learn something new about TS almost every week.

Dave Deluca kindly informed me that ASCII charting **DOES NOT** use 
the BMI Server's Symbol Universe.  Instead, it uses the Symbol setup 
from the Omega **DOWNLOADER** !!

I'd never even RUN the Downloader.  I had no idea it had its own 
symbol universe, let alone that TS would use it.  But sure enough, I 
brought it up and added an NDX *index* symbol (it had only the CBOE 
index *option* symbol), and voila!  Now my ASCII NDX charts find the 
right symbol.
