The reason Allan is that the vaunted "upgrade" feature DOESN'T WORK in
upgrading Win95 drivers and other esoteric applications. I tried it....it
just hung-up the machine.

A fresh install of Win2000 would require me to REINSTALL over 100
applications and reset the preferences for over 100 applications.
I have estimated this would take 3-6 MONTHS of time.

That's the main reason.

BTW: I am running my TS2000i trading box on Win2000 and it is great.....but
it is the ONLY application running on it.

I can't understand why anyone running Win 95/98/ME on a trading machine
hasn't installed Win 2000.

It's been out long enough to be known to be extremely stable, and to have
drivers available for 'most everything.

The Windows 95 lineage is still superior for game playing, but we are
talking about serious trading, aren't we?
