Forcing a function to series

Hi folks,

I need to create a daily range function I want to use on intraday charts

Then I tried this:

 *****************************************
Inputs: DaysAgo(NumericSeries);

If DataCompression < 2 and lowD(DaysAgo)> 0 Then RangeD=
HighD(DaysAgo) -LowD(DaysAgo);

 *****************************************
 But I get the following error:
"Series Input not allowed here, Error #254"

Does anyone know why I can only use Numeric instead of NumericSeries for the
input??

Do I need to force the function to series I use a dummy statement like this?

Value1 = RangeD[1];


In fact I tried both with and without and I do not see any difference, I get
the right RangeD(0) and RangeD(1) values in both cases.
