RE: PCQuote vs. E-Signal - still broken

I spoke with Undra Nicholson, email unicholson@xxxxxxxxxxx, the Tech Support
Supervisor for PCQuote this morning, and he indicated that "the servers were
failing, and are now fixed, and the PCQuote Omega Feed is now working as of
today(8/17/0)". I indicated that the feed failed for me this morning when my
ISP dialup disconnected momentarily. Symptoms were the same: Global Server
says feed went offline, won't go online, and requires re-running of the
setup wizard to bring the feed online.

He said that "if it was failing, I'd be getting tons of calls like yours".
Apparently he prefers his "belief" to our end-user experience. So be it.

so bottom line,

1. It still fails for me, requiring a "run setup wizard" in the Global
Server, as it has since my sign-up on Aug 8, 2000.
2. PCQuote think it's fixed, and since they "believe" it's fixed, factual
input of it still failing is irrevelant to them.

I cancelled my feed today, since they appeared unconcerned that it was still
failing for me.

I'd recommend that if your feed is failing when your ISP dialup connection
is dropped unexpectedly, you contact Undra, and let him know that he has yet
another user who is experiencing failures on a "we believe it's fixed" feed.

Dear Mr. Slavik:

I understand your frustration at your last connections, and would like to
apologize for any inconvenience we have caused you. We had been having
problems this past week with our server farm for Omega, but we have gotten
those issues under control. You should no longer be experiencing
disconnects from our servers. If you do, please contact us at:
