Just a quick note. Until recently I too never had a problem with the Omega feed
(HistoryBank). However ever since last Monday the net experienced some major
network problems and many hubs were timing out. The Global Server requires a
TTL=1200 ms max to consider the connection valid.
If you tried a "traceroute" on the IP Server of PC Quote you most probably would
have seen several timeouts * * * coming across you screen. Or even a ping would
indicate "Request timed out". With such a net congession there was literally no
way for some of us to receive data. However on Wednesday the network speeded up
again (Hub repaired) and the problems then vanished temporary.
You might want to consider having two seperate ISP's with totally different
backbone gateways so in case one gets outages through its various ATM linkages
you can fall back on the other.
