Two internet connections at once?

Anyone know how to have two internet connections, ie. one DSL & one dial-up
or one dial-up & one cable modem or one DSL & one cable modem, etc. so that
if one internet goes down in the middle of the night, the other connection
will take its' place automatically?

That would put to rest my concern about reliability in using the internet as
a data feed.
