Re: DSL questions for users of 2 or more computers

PureBytes Links

Trading Reference Links

I've used DSL from my local Bell company ($50/month incl ISP) since
September, 99. It is great, esp for www surfing, downloading, moving from
one url to another. Reliability is excellent from what I've heard about
other providers--I get interuptions lasting 1 -5 hours about once every 90
days.

I have 5 computers networked via ethernet cards, NetGear hub and using Win98
2ed's built in networking setup. NOte however taht the provider doesn't
allow networking on their DSL line so if you have problems with it your on
your own. So far mine has been flawless.

I'm usually connected to two internet quote feeds of 50-200 symbols, email,
and browser on my two trading machines. I keep a 56k ISP for backup and
have noticed that quotes arrive no sooner via DSL. I've compared CQGNet,
myTrack, Quote.com, PCQuote this way and it just makes no difference. I
still prfer DSL for its other advantages however.
