Bill,
Thanks for the response, I will try as you suggest tonight again. I have
installed only from the TS distribution software CD, and I get a continuing
MDAC installation loop that will not let me get beyond it. I do not know
why, but have been quite unsuccessful in getting an original installation to
work.
I share your view. They still suggest on the FAQ section of the web site
that customers not try to install to Win2k, and that they are going to be
coming out with SP5 immediately to solve this problem. No one should
recurrently set customer expectations at one level and not fulfill them.
The next version of NT may be released before they solve the problem at this
rate.
I think that in their ongoing efforts to be another bankrupt dot.com
enterprise, they may lose a solid program and customer base if they do not
attend to the installed customer base.

I dont think we are being disingenuous. Omega promised SP5 long ago and
told customers not to use Win2k on the basis that SP5 would be out soon.
Omega should not make promises when they do not know whether they can/will
be kept. I suspect the real reason we have not seen SP5 is that company
resources are now being devoted to Ts.com. Thus I believe it is Omega who
is being disingenuous.
The fact is that Ts2k SP4c runs perfectly on Win2k. I have used it since
Win2k was released with absolutely no problem. I dont know what
compatibility issues exist since Omega does not reveal that info. But they
dont affect my use of the program.

Perhaps we are a bit disingenuous. First we complain that Omega releases
software that is not fully debugged, then we complain that it is taking so
long
to solve the issues of Sp5. I am very worried about the change in Omega's
direction and the continuing support for 2000i, but I have invested a lot of
time and money in learning to use this tool and am reluctant to give up on
the
software.
