One flaw in this line of thought: the markets exist to transfer money from 
the many to the few. When the "many" have the same method, then that method 
will stop making money. 

Do you think it is coincidence that the cleaner trends of the 70s and 80s 
turned to the chop of the 90s just as Omega, the PC, and system trading / 
trend following took off in popularity?

Notice that none of the often mentioned "Market Wizards" ever gave out a 
single system. And the stuff that leaked out there now has drawdowns deeper 
than a turtle can dive in the Pacific.
