Most of us know that the list is monitored. I've received several quite
useful email responses to my whining on this list. What I (and several
others on the list) were suggesting to OR was that they post their
solutions to the list rather than contacting each of us individually with
solutions to the problems we complain most vigorously about here. There is
a farily high probability that something that is posted as a problem on
this list is of interest to a lot of the list members. The emails I've
received from OR all have a little legalese blurb at the end which has the
effect of making me reluctant to re-post them to this list. It basically
says "this message is intended for the recipient only". I'm suggesting
that this secretiveness is counter productive for us and for OR and that it
would be better for the OR tech support folks to participate in this list,
not just monitor it for squeaky wheels.
