Although every tech-support forum probably attracts a fair amount of
bitching, I agree that this one probably attracts more than usual.  But I
feel it's a chicken vs. egg question - which came first, Omega's avoidance
of this list (and other responsible tech-support practices), or the
bitching.

At this point, I would say that much, if not most, of the bitching is
deserved.  If Omega really wanted to improve their image, they would have to
first correct the many problems (both software AND customer-relations) which
undeniably exist, and then grit their teeth and endure the abuse until their
customer base learned that their rebirth was for real.
