Very, very well said! I could not agree more! IMHO, their participation
would open up a *much* more effective 2-way channel to users.
This list works so well because people *do* have similar problems. The
omega one-on-one approach is not always that effective. I have had
problems where I called Omega and sent messages to the list. In some
cases, when I mentioned to Omega some of what I learned on the list, their
response was "I don't know about that." They would then go talk to others,
but they would not find the person who originally sent the fix that was
mentioned on the list, and there was great confusion, and even conflicting
info. If they used the list, some of this confusion would likely go away,
and some problems might even get fixed faster.
In another case, the Omega tech said "Gee, I didn't know you could do
that." It would seem that Omega really could benefit from the info
discussed on this list.
It's a win-win situation. Hey, Omega, are you listening?
