To summarise - being a Port Maximiser user I paid $175 for the upgrade to
Portfolio Evaluator and your firm sent me a CD. After loading it up I
called your office for the password and it didn't work so you suggested that
I further download the latest version (you sent me build 96 and two days
later you suggested I should download build 100) So 90 minutes later I have
the latest version and after the market closes installed the latest version
and - as you suggested "Uninstall" Portfolio Maximiser so that the new
Evaluator can use the bullseye on the TS system report -
Well after rebooting TS a couple of times Evaluator still doesn't work. You
told me that Evaluator was significantly faster than Portfolio Maximiser and
Y2K compliant. When I call up a system report and click on the bulls eye it
takes 30 seconds to even call up Evaluator and then the message arrives "
missing data ..blah blah blah" plainly a red herring as it says the same
with every single sytem I try , tick by tick, 1/3/5 minute, daily etc...
So I have paid $175 to upgrade to something that doesn't work and in the
process have had to uninstall maximiser - all the faffing around has taken
5-6 hours. Time is money. Your company and product have Omegaitus - putting
out half baked beta versions - presumably trying to mitigate Y2k concerns -
What really bothers me is this general idea that the customer can buy
something that isn't ready (doesn't work) - and you get away with it - the
customer's parted with his cash and we'll just post the latest beta to the
website which might work - I call this kind of arms length web commerce -
FRAUD
Where have trading standards gone? How can you promote a product which
doesn't work?
Do you have any moral fibre at all ?
As an existing customer of your firm the CD update to Evaluator should be
SEAMLESS and fast and then it should WORK. Shouldn't have to go back to
your website and download the new update you produced YESTERDAY and whats
more Evaluator should be able to read ALL the data produced by Maximiser -
So please explain how I can return Evaluator and you can recredit my CC for
the cost, and arrange for one of your staff to fly down here and reinstall
maximiser.
