You can create a "Custom Data List" at the time you create the chart window.
This is one of the selections at the top of the Create Chart Window dialog
box.  The list can contain a selected list of securities or commodities from
the same directory.  This will load each of the securities into the window
sequentially.  You can use the "CTL Spacebar" to flip through the securities
if you wish.  

The next step is to write a system or indicator with alerts and apply it to
the window.  Finally, you run the ChartScanner which examines each of the
securities in the Custom Data List for your alert criteria.  The results are
placed in the ChartScanner report dialog box.
