Jimmy:

There's a programmable keyboard which has 24 programmable keys sort of
like the one IBM has with some of their AS400 systems that will do the
job quite well.  I use one and I like having the ability to automate
some of Omega's operations with a key stroke instead of several mouse
clicks; check it out at http://www.dalco.com, mine has worked fine since
1993 and is still going strong.
