As I understand the current situation

Depends.
Monthly payment plan:
1. Get new PW every so often from Omega accounting. Automated system causes
problem. Forget it.
2. Enter PW in TS. Simple. Tools - Options - UserInfo - New Password -
type in PW and click OK. PW saved. Don't have to enter again until 15 day
warning message or you're paid in full. Need to exit and re-enter
computer for warning.
[Sidebar: If running Win95 w/ TS 4, recommend weekend exit TS, scandisk and
defrag, reboot Win95, and enter Server then TS.]
Paid in full:
1. Call Omega accounting and get PERMANENT PW.
2. Repeat 2 PW procedure above.
3. Permanent is PERMANENT. My PW is the same since 3.5 (when paid in
full). Never a problem, even with changing computers. PW is TS SW lock,
not HW lock.

Yes. Dongle is the HW lock.

SafeSoft defeats the dongle HW lock for around $250. Use if you want to
get rid of the dongle. Dongles have been known to cause problems with TS
locking up. Mine did once with TS 3.01. Never again in 3+ years.
SafeSoft is optional...depends on your conscience and how pissed off you
get if TS locks up due to the dongle.

Yes. Actually it's better than some of the alternate SW and HW locks
discussed recently on this list. Most are worse...makes the PW / dongle
situation look good in comparison.
