I'll try to at least get you started on the answers.
You asked:
1. to check if there are new signals every day the simplest solution is to create an Expert - is this correct?
This depends if you have only a handful of securities to check or if you have hundreds or thousands. If it is the latter, calling up that many charts is not the way to go. Instead you want to use the Explorer to scan for your set-ups.
You asked:
2. there are 4 variables to optimize in the system; I have thought that the simplest way to proceed would be to paste one single formula in each Expert, inserting the values optimized with the System Tester - is there an easier/faster/simpler method?
I would just offer this: I would caution against optimizing four variables on each security. You are playing with fire even optimizing one, let alone four. This will result is "fitting" your past data. You are much better off designing a system that can work on any number of securities. That doesn't mean you shouldn't make use of variable indicators (for example those that adjust for the securities range or volatility) as I do think that is a good idea.
