Theo,
briefly. I worked with Equis support for weeks on the problems. We
never figured it out. They never offered much other than "reinstall
everything", so I eventually gave up on them.
win2k: I believe it's officially supported starting with 7.02. Win2k
was known as NT 5 back in 98 and early 99.
I've even reinstalled Win2000 (including reformatting the drive),
installed all service patches, Metastock, eSignal etc. The
instabilities I described have persistet. The simplest way to make my
MS hang is to load up 10 charts in real time, add a stoch indicator and
wait. Within a minute (often less) MS will stop updating the graphs and
Win2k will report MS as hung (which it is).
If you load up a few charts in off line mode and select "restore
workspace" in the settings, MS will often have a similar hang when it
loads the charts (in offline mode).
